Job Description

Role: Data Scientist Lead 
Location: Irving, TX

Successful candidate will be responsible for liaising between Product and Technology regarding data governance implementation for a respective Data Domain, activities to include identifying lineage, critical data elements, authoritative data sources, data quality rules, assessing data controls, and investigating any data-related issues.  The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of attribute-level data lineage, critical data element decomposition, application performance and other measures to gain insight and drive data governance planning and data remediation. 

Responsibilities:
•    Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high-volume data governance implementation efforts in partnership with Product and Technology partners and stakeholders
•    Manage complex application and critical data element-level lineage across geographies and products.
•    Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes to implement Data Governance Data Policies
•    Responsible for data quality validation and remediation from root cause analysis through remediation planning and providing input to Product and Technology based on analysis of information
•    Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources

Qualifications:
•    Technical experience to include intermediate/advanced SQL skills; Python, Java, COBOL, Visual Studio, Ab Initio, Data Lineage capture tools (i.e.:  IBM Manta, Ab Initio mHub), or other development languages helpful
•    Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools
•    Proven diplomatic and analytical skills
•    Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs
•    Experience in systems analysis helpful

Mandatory Skills: Data Science .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
