About the Role:

Servaada, a Wipro company, is seeking a Data Scientist to help clients leverage data science and advanced analytics to enhance and transform their customer experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding Servaada’s capabilities within the insurance sector, driving innovation, and supporting the integration and optimisation of insurance services across multiple customer channels.

The Data Scientist will undertake a wide variety of challenging project work and help clients explore, visualise and mine their structured and unstructured data. The person will have the license to develop new ways of delivering value by:

  • Using modelling and analytics-based techniques to solve business problems as part of a major business transformation.
  • Developing and using modelling tools to support strategic decision making.
  • Supporting client to design, build and implement analytics-based solutions.
  • Delivering analytics advisory services to clients.
  • Developing both thought leadership points of view and new service offerings to differentiate us in the marketplace.  
  • Working as a member of the analytics delivery team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Engaging with our client’s staff to develop use cases and user stories.
  • Building analytical processes and code to meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets from multiple sources.
  • Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and conduct statistical analyses and hypothesis testing.
  • Create data visualisations, dashboards, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand objectives and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Build, validate, and optimise data models to improve accuracy and performance.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent programming skills in Python and deep learning frameworks (esp. Keras, TensorFlow or PyTorch)
  • A proven ability to rigorously analyse complex issues and develop insights and solutions.
  • Deep learning and Recurrent/convolutional neural nets experience.
  • An ability to provide creative thinking and innovative methods.  

Desirable Skills:

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in one or more of the following: Maths, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • Obtained or studying towards industry qualifications.
  • Computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all client documentation and communications.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated, able to anticipate needs and take initiative without constant direction.
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to remain calm and composed when handling competing priorities.
  • Team-oriented, contributing positively to collaborative working environments.
  • Problem-solving attitude, able to identify issues quickly and offer practical solutions.
