Position Overview:

As a Test Engineer at Wipro Technologies-USA within the VLSI domain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our electronic products through rigorous testing processes. Your expertise will support the creation, validation, and continuous improvement of test stations and equipment, helping to maintain high standards across manufacturing and validation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and validation of new test stations and equipment, ensuring they meet rigorous quality and performance standards.
• Assist testing teams in the setup and validation of diagnostics (DIAGs), focusing on tester validation and on-site management to optimize test accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Configuration Management (CM) personnel to implement and track test requirements effectively.
• Investigate and resolve test-related issues at the board level from both hardware and software perspectives, enhancing overall product quality.
• Partner with NV SZ test engineers to coordinate and support diagnostic development and validation efforts.
• Diagnose and adjust issues related to test jigs and fixtures, employing sharp troubleshooting skills to ensure proper functionality.
• Oversee and drive initiatives for production test equipment monitoring and management in collaboration with CM teams to maintain operational excellence.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing procedures, issues encountered, and resolutions to support continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Engage proactively in cross-functional collaboration to align testing strategies with broader product development objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Possession of a college degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields is required.
• Practical experience with microcontroller units (MCU) and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) programming and debugging is highly advantageous.
• Hands-on proficiency with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and multimeters for accurate measurements and diagnostics.
• Good understanding of electronic product manufacturing testing methodologies and process flows.
• Familiarity with computer architecture and Linux-based operating systems such as CentOS or Ubuntu to facilitate integration and testing operations.
• Programming and debugging abilities using tools like Python, Shell scripting, and DOS, enabling effective troubleshooting and automation.
• Competence in addressing and resolving board-level test issues independently.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach with capability to work collaboratively across multiple functional teams.
• Strong bilingual communication skills in Chinese and English to ensure effective interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated high levels of responsibility and commitment to teamwork.

Preferred Attributes:

• Advanced programming skills including Python and Shell to contribute towards automation and test optimization.
• Mechanical aptitude or direct experience with debugging and adjusting test fixtures or jigs, enhancing test precision.
• Knowledge of the L6 factory’s production test workflows and Shop Floor Control (SFC) systems, which will provide valuable operational insight.

Compensation & Benefits: The expected salary range for this position is from $45,000 to $121,000 annually. Final compensation will consider factors such as geographic location, minimum wage requirements, individual skills, and relevant experience.
