Role & Responsibility

You are responsible for the successful execution of a low to medium complexity program & its profitability. In this role you require understanding of the individual program and how it interacts with other programs. You are also responsible for customer satisfaction and to some extent to the commercial growth within the account. In this role, you will be required to have the following knowledge and expertise: Financial - Manage Gross margin achievement, bonus & penalties, for the Program - Adhere to project cash flow schedule Offering/competency - Ensure an increase in project effort charged to domain experts - Formulate an appropriately structured Governance framework for the account in which he/she is the sole Program manager. Else work as per the governance framework defined by the Program Director - Create a clearly defined and documented escalation mechanism in place - Ensure governance ties in with Scope/Change Management Delivery/Customer satisfaction - Lead and own the Program Delivery (schedule/risk/issues/changes/dependencies) - Help establish the required execution and project methodologies synergizing customer and Wipro methodologies for meeting Program Quality-Cost-Delivery schedule - Manage operational parameters of the program as signed off ( ppc, offshore- onsite mix, utilization, bulge) - Manage customer escalations People - Lead planning workshops and program steering committee meetings - Develop and mentor project managers and PMO for exceptional performance from team members to improve performance - Manage & Control employee attrition rate Brand Building Initiatives - Participate in initiatives which help in building Wipro Brand and developing progressive delivery.
You are required to have the following prerequisites to be suitable for this role. Certifications and educational qualifications: - PgM Growth Center Assessment Knowledge: - Good understanding of Business Process, contractual terms and legal implications. - Operational knowledge about activities that create value for the customer such as Off shoring model, Global program management, consulting processes, Wipro way etc. - Broad understanding of the industry area/domain, technology solutions is a must. - Must have familiarity with core services, solutions and technologies of the organization. - In-depth understanding of one or two domains and technology areas is preferable. - Expertise in particular industry may be advantageous but not mandatory. Work Experience: - More than 10 years of overall experience in the IT industry, primarily in project management with atleast 18 months as a Project Manager. - Experience of managing large projects (2 - 4 Mn USD p.a) - Experience of managing a 2 to 5 Mn USD Application Development / System Integration Program - Experience of managing a 5 to 10 Mn USD Application Maintainence Program Skills: - Client Centricity - Execution Excellence - Collaborative Working - Nurturing People - Passion for Results - Strategic Perspective - Stakeholder Management - Managing Complexity - Problem Solving & Decision Making - Influence
