Job Description: Tech Functional Lead (Japan)

Experience: 5–8 years in requirement analysis, stakeholder communication, and bridging offshore development
Band: B3
Location: Akihabara, Japan

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between Japanese stakeholders and offshore development teams, ensuring accurate understanding and translation of requirements.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in Japanese and English with clarity and precision.
• Structure and organize requirements into actionable specifications for technical teams.
• Facilitate smooth communication across multicultural teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Support project planning, progress tracking, and issue resolution in collaboration with technical leads.
• Preferred experience in working with offshore/onsite team model

Core Skills

• Bilingual Proficiency: Strong command of Japanese (native-level or near-native) and English for clear, concise communication.
• Business Analysis: Experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, and creating functional documentation.
• Bridge Role Expertise: Proven track record of working as an intermediary between client and offshore teams.
• Technical Awareness: Familiarity with backend systems, APIs, and databases to effectively communicate with technical teams (Java, REST APIs, Oracle preferred).
• Tools: Knowledge of documentation tools, project management platforms, and collaboration tools.
