Job Description – Onsite - Technical PM

Role Title: Technical PM / Tech‑Functional Lead

Location: Wipro Onsite – Japan

Experience: 8–12 years

Engagement Type: Application Maintenance & Operations

 

Role Overview

The Onsite Technical Resource will serve as the primary liaison for business/IT stakeholders and delivery team, supporting stable operations and effective coordination.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as single point of contact at onsite for technical and operational coordination
  • Support day‑to‑day application operations, incident triage, and functional clarifications
  • Coordinate with system owners, business users, local IT teams, and vendors
  • Facilitate Knowledge Transfer (KT) from business SMEs
  • Translate business and operational requirements into clear inputs for execution
  • Support operational governance – status tracking, issue/risk management, and action follow‑ups
  • Assist in verification, evaluation, and switchover activities, including preparation of review materials
  • Ensure compliance with processes, communication standards, and timelines

 

Core Skills & Experience

  • Strong Technical experience in MainframeOpen systems and databases for Application Support / Operations
  • Facilitate smooth communication across multicultural teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support project planning, progress tracking, and issue resolution
  • Experience working in onsite–offshore delivery models
  • Good understanding of application workflowsintegrations, and operational dependencies

 

Language & Communication

Japanese: Business‑level to fluent (Mandatory)

English: Business‑level

Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills

 

Soft Skills

  • Client‑facing professionalism and ownership
  • Strong problem‑solving and coordination ability
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite environment
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

 

Mandatory Skills: Mainframe .
