Job Description
Ability to drive and lead strategic execution, manage change, build strong relationships with clients and partners, motivate teams, and achieve results.
The candidate should have 10–20 years of overall experience, with 6–10 years of relevant experience in airline operations, including:
- Expertise in end-to-end Airline Fleet Management
- Understanding of aircraft tail assignment processes
- Knowledge of airline messaging formats: SSIM, SSM, ASM, MVT, NOTAM, METAR/TAF, EDCT
- Understanding of Airline Slot Management and IATA 80/20 rule
- Familiarity with Airline Cost Management (passenger compensation, overfly, etc.)
- Knowledge of IATA 4D / 15 Flight Tracking requirements
- Ability to understand message formats such as AIDX, IATA Type B, SITA, ACARS, SWIM
Strong process orientation, collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills are required to succeed in a dynamic environment.
The role requires ability to:
- Engage with industry leaders and provide POV on trends
- Propose solutions, investment strategies, and drive innovation
- Analyze complex scenarios and recommend effective solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer domain, business models, and requirements
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Collaborate with UX, design, and engineering teams to deliver solutions
- Create structured documentation: BRD, FSD, Use Cases, User Stories, Workflows, Traceability Matrix, NFRs
- Configure rule engines, workflows, and checklists
- Act as the go-to SME for functional/techno-functional clarifications
- Analyze methodologies, suggest operational improvements, and support proposal evaluations
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in SDLC methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables in fast-paced environments
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of system integrations with:
- Aircraft Maintenance, Airline Scheduling, PSS, Baggage, Flight Dispatch
- FAA/EU systems, AODB, ACARS, EDCT, NOTAM, METAR, TAF
- Integration approaches: APIs (REST/SOAP), Web Services, File-based
- Experience with COTS platforms such as TOPS, CAE Movement Manager, NetLine, AIMS, Merlot or similar
- Exposure to ERP implementations in large programs is an added advantage
- Stay updated with IATA standards, best practices, and aviation technologies
Additional Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English); additional languages are a plus
- Certifications preferred: IIBA, PMI-PBA, CSPO, SAFe
Travel
- Willingness to travel for onsite workshops, solution design, and implementation support
Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 100000 to CAD 150000 .
