This role is responsible for delivering on business objectives on behalf of Risk Management. The role is also responsible for providing risk subject matter expertise and liaising closely with Risk Management Partners to ensure enablement of value-added insights for risk analysis. This role provides a unique opportunity to drive engagement and influence the future roadmap for Risk Management across Financial Risk Functions

  • Own and drive Risk work-stream deliverables, working closely with Risk Business Leads and other enterprise stakeholders
  • Support leadership in developing strategic plans for risk implementations to meet upcoming and ongoing business and regulatory demands
  • Work closely with senior management and leadership to solicit guidance on key objectives and incorporate as part of the overall strategy and roadmap
  • Develop a strong understanding of current state and target state end-to-end processes and interdependencies across partner streams of work
  • Strategize and coordinate business process change efforts by working in collaboration with upstream and downstream stakeholders including end-user community
  • Deliver initiatives in a highly matrixed change and functional environment. Execute within budget, timelines, and other initiative commitments
  • Continually reassesses business needs; identify opportunities for standardization, optimization, and scalability
  • Partner with Risk Management stakeholders to deliver enhanced analytical capabilities for end-user enablement
  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommend course of action and standard methodologies to improve products, processes, or services
  • Work to ensure alignment between strategic management goals and day-to-day operational functions
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies within a timely manner and recommend mitigation against these business problems using a pragmatic approach and strategic outlook

 

 

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

 

  • Working knowledge of risk management domains including credit risk, counterparty risk, market risk, etc.
  • Working knowledge of data management best practices, data workflows, and data models
  • Detailed understanding of risk reporting and monitoring processes related to credit and counterparty credit risk
  • Prior working experience leading or delivering in change initiatives impacting cross-bank stakeholders and processes, utilizing waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Strong leadership and relationship building capabilities
  • Fundamental understanding of emerging regulatory standards and industry best practices impacting Risk Management
  • Understanding of retail and non-retail products and associated information needs
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment and deal with ambiguity
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of end user tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI
  • Familiarity with Python, VBA, SQL, SAS are nice to have
  • CFA, FRM, PRM CPA, CA accreditations are nice to have
  • 5+ years of experience working on Transformation, Regulatory or Strategic Initiatives
