Job Description
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for payment systems and API-driven integrations.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops to define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications, process flows, and system designs.
- Perform gap analysis and propose process/system improvements aligned with business objectives.
Payments Domain Expertise
- Work on payment systems such as Real-Time Payments, ACH, Wires, SWIFT, SEPA, ISO20022.
- Analyze end-to-end payment flows including clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and compliance.
- Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements and payment standards (e.g., PSD2, ISO formats).
API Integration & Technical Analysis
- Define and analyze API specifications (REST/SOAP), including request/response payloads and endpoints.
- Collaborate with development teams to design API integrations between internal and external systems.
- Work on data mapping, transformation rules, and interface design across systems.
- Document API contracts, sequence diagrams, and workflows.
JSON & Data Handling
- Analyze and validate JSON/XML payload structures for APIs and system integrations.
- Define data attributes, schemas, validation rules, and error handling mechanisms.
- Ensure accurate data mapping and transformation between systems.
Delivery & Testing Support
- Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and maintain user story backlogs.
- Assist in system integration testing (SIT), UAT, and API validation using tools like Postman/SoapUI.
- Work closely with QA and development teams to ensure solution quality and alignment with requirements
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a bridge between business, product, and technology teams.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and external partners for integrations.
- Provide regular updates, demos, and documentation to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Domain Expertise
- Strong experience in payments domain (Retail/Corporate/Real-time payments)
- Knowledge of SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS, ISO20022 messaging
Technical Skills
Solid understanding of:
- API integrations (REST/SOAP)
- JSON and XML data formats
- API documentation & tools (Swagger, Postman)
- Data mapping and transformation
Tools & Methodologies
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence
- Knowledge of SDLC and system integration processes
- UML diagrams, sequence diagrams, and process modeling
Experience
- 5–10+ years of experience as a BSA/Business Analyst
- At least 3+ years in Payments + API Integration projects
Experience: 3-5 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 57000 to CAD 90000 .
