Role Summary
We are looking for an Intermediate Database Developer/Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server. The candidate will be responsible for database development, SQL programming, data analysis, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise applications in collaboration with development and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain database solutions using Oracle DB and SQL Server.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and database scripts.
- Perform data analysis and troubleshoot database/application data issues.
- Support database integration and data processing requirements across applications.
- Conduct query tuning and identify opportunities for database performance optimization.
- Participate in defect analysis, root-cause investigation, testing, and production support activities.
- Work closely with application developers, business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders.
- Follow established development, deployment, documentation, and change-management standards.
- Support code reviews and ensure database changes follow coding and security best practices.
Mandatory Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on database development experience.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience developing and maintaining stored procedures, functions, views, joins, and complex SQL queries.
- Good understanding of query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience troubleshooting database and data-related issues.
- Understanding of database design, data modeling, indexing, and normalization.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders in an onshore delivery model.
Good to Have
- Experience with PL/SQL and T-SQL.
- Experience with ETL/data integration processes.
- Knowledge of source-control and CI/CD practices for database deployments.
- Experience working in Banking/Financial Services (BFSI) environments.
Agile/Scrum delivery experience
Mandatory Skills: Oracle BPM .
Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 77000 to CAD 120000 .
