Job Description

We are looking for a Power BI Developer who can design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support business decision‑making. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to transform data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
  • Build and optimize data models, including relationships, calculated columns, and measures
  • Write and optimize DAX queries for complex business logic and performance
  • Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, Azure, APIs, etc.)
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace access
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions
  • Maintain documentation for reports, datasets, and data models
  • Support enhancements, defect fixes, and production issues
  • Follow best practices for visual design, usability, and performance

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service)
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension tables, star schema)
  • Knowledge of ETL concepts and data transformation
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Good understanding of data visualization best practices

Good to Have / Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure services (Azure SQL, ADF, Synapse)
  • Exposure to Power BI Gateway, deployment pipelines
  • Knowledge of SSIS / SSAS / SSRS
  • Experience in banking, finance, or fraud analytics domains
  • Power BI or Azure certifications
Mandatory Skills: Microsoft Power BI Copilot .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 77000 to CAD 120000 .
