Job Description

Core Technical Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and FOCUS
  • Experience working in batch processing environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of CA-7 scheduling
  • Strong understanding of flat files and dataset-based processing environments
  • Capability to analyze and interpret legacy/custom-developed programs, including:
    • Understanding program logic and workflows
    • Identifying data flows and dependencies
    • Supporting maintainability and system documentation

Key Expectations:

  • Ability to independently review and assess existing mainframe codebase
  • Strong analytical skills to decode and document legacy systems
  • Prior experience in onsite lead roles, managing and guiding offshore teams

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to GIT / GitLab
  • Experience with IDz (IBM Developer for z/OS)

We are looking for candidates who have deep technical expertise in mainframe environments, not just support-level experience.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 77000 to CAD 120000 .
