Job Description

We are looking for someone to lead data management and information excellence within the AML TS Name Screening portfolio. This role will act as the primary SME responsible for data acquisition, analysis, mapping, quality assurance, testing, and ensuring adherence to data policies. In addition, you will ensure data accuracy and reliability while enabling data-driven decision making and supporting business objectives.

Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:

•    Lead-end to-end data governance initiatives to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity across different lines of businesses. 
•    Collaborate with application development team and BSA's to understand the data requirements for both existing data pipelines and new data capabilities. 
•    Identify opportunities to enhance existing data incident management processes by working closely with BAO's and TAO's of source system to understand end to end data flows, recommend process improvements, and implement sustainable solutions that improve data quality, operational efficiency and risk management. 
•    Own data issue management for portfolio inclusive of stakeholder communications and escalations. 
•    Manage relationships with delivery teams and partners, hold regular service delivery reviews. 
•    Ensures operations procedure documentation is current and readily available. 
•    Measure and monitor the service levels, analyze trends, and determine appropriate actions. 
•    Develop and maintain monthly dashboard reflecting BAU batch trends, data concerns metrics, defect metrics, data incident trends, and associated action plans or learnings.
•    May monitor and coordinate operating schedules and priorities for all application-related incidents to ensure effective and efficient operations support and maintenance.
•    Work with technology partners to ensure that environmental modifications interact appropriately, data conversion impacts are considered, and other areas of impact are addressed and meet performance requirements. 
•    Ensure operational, reputational, and proprietary risks are minimized and focus on process improvement. 
•    In partnership with other team members, ensure a close relationship is maintained with clients, to keep informed of their business needs and direction.

Job Requirements: 

•    Background in data management, preferably with financial institutions (min 5yrs).
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Hands-on experience in various tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, MS office etc.
•    Use a wide range of programing languages (e.g. Python, SQL, Unix) and techniques for mining and preparing data, applying statistics and analytics, along with business acumen to extract insights from the data.
•    Familiar with relational databases, APIs and data exchange formats (JSON, XLM).
•    Familiar with data architecture and modeling (data warehouse concepts, schema design, data integration patterns).
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills and confidence to interact at senior levels in an organization.
•    Ability to lead conversations, align different stakeholders and negotiate timely resolution of production/data issues.
•    Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication across different teams both on business and technology side.
•    Readiness to direct the development of problem resolutions, plans and strategies for operational improvement/advancement.

Mandatory Skills: Project Management ASM .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 100000 to CAD 150000 .
