Windows Infrastructure & SCCM Administrator (L3)

Role Summary

Experienced Windows Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Windows Server Administration, SCCM/MECM, PowerShell Automation, Endpoint Management, Virtualization, and Enterprise Operations. Responsible for managing, automating, securing, and optimizing enterprise Windows environments while ensuring high availability, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022/2025) to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Manage SCCM/MECM infrastructure, including Endpoint Management, OS Deployment (OSD), Software Distribution, Patch Management, Task Sequences, and application deployments.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts to automate system administration, endpoint management, patching, deployments, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Administer and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Failover Clustering, and file services.
  • Manage and upgrade physical and virtual server infrastructure across enterprise environments.
  • Support VMware and Nutanix virtualization platforms, including provisioning, performance monitoring, and capacity management.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive service improvements.
  • Implement security hardening, compliance standards, endpoint protection, and access management aligned with enterprise best practices.
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and recovery validation processes to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with network, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, automation playbooks, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in incident management, on-call support, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in Windows Server Administration and enterprise infrastructure support.
  • Expertise in SCCM/MECM Administration, Endpoint Management, OS Deployment, Software Distribution, and Patch Management.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Failover Clustering, and Robocopy.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Nutanix virtualization platforms.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, backup solutions, troubleshooting methodologies, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of hybrid infrastructure environments, cybersecurity best practices, and access management.
  • Exposure to storage, networking, and data center operations.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise support environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Prior experience supporting global/US-based clients is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Automation-first mindset with experience in self-healing workflows and operational runbook automation.
  • Experience with enterprise compliance, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure modernization initiatives

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $173,800 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
