Role Purpose

As an experienced Agile practitioner you drive  Scrum of Scrums with the respective Scrum Masters to manage dependencies across multiple Scrum teams. You are responsible to facilitate the removal of impediments and as needed coordinating with the next level to remove the same. You will manage risks and help drive program level continuous improvement. You should have good understanding of the programmer, Agile way of working and the customer's business strategy. Understanding dependencies - technical, functional is a must. You should also be able to arrive  at release plans in consultation with the customer for the program if needed.

  • Ensure meeting of the Release objective
  • Works with Product Management (at a programme level) to ensure alignment of Release execution
  • Facilitate Release planning workshops and events. Establish Release plan and Sprint cadence
  • Ensure MoSCoW adherence of Release Backlog at the Release level
  • Facilitates Scrum of Scrum across Scrum teams to achieve the Release objective. Participate in Portfolio Scrum of Scrums as appropriate
  • Track key metrics at a program level and take appropriate action
  • Ensure meeting of acceptance criteria and DoD at release level
  • Highlight the risk and dependencies across the program and scrum teams to ensure achievement of sprint and release goals. Resolve impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution
  • Resolve and further escalate impediments across teams to a minimum and ensuring ZERO impact on the overall Release schedule
  • Coordinate the implementation approach with Scrum Masters across the teams from the scaling perspective

  • Interface with business and system architects on the architecture runway elaboration based on upcoming Sprint goals across Scrum teams (in one program)
  • Ensure availability of Wall of reference across all Scrum teams by the start of second release (Unless the project comprises only 1 release)
  • Ensure 6-7 PCSAT ratings on a half yearly basis as per organization norms and expectations. Ensure limited customer escalations and escalation resolution
  • Support in stabilizing velocity within 8-10 sprints
  • Identification of technical stories and opportunities for implementing DevOps
  • Enabling collaboration between Dev, Ops and other stakeholders to ensure availability of required environment
  • Interact with Agile Line Manager to resolve internal impediments related to people and operations
  • Support Agile Program Leader during new business / programme initiation
  • Contribute to pre-sales support / client presentations
  • Communicate team success to client and Wipro stakeholders and leadership
  • Lead community of practice initiatives in the programme. Participate in CoP initiatives in Wipro
  • Provide inputs to the Line manager for internal quality forums (QIC  / APR / QBR / MBR etc.) and for performance of the Scrum Master(s)
