Location: Bangalore prefered, Open to PAN India.

Please note that the customer is specifically looking for profiles with Linux and KVM experience. VMware-only profiles are being rejected.

Mandatory Skills (Must-Have)

  • Strong Linux command-line expertise (OS internals, processes, memory, networking).
  • Solid KVM / virtualization fundamentals.
  • Strong Linux networking knowledge (bonding, VLANs, routing, TCP/IP).
  • Proven advanced troubleshooting and RCA experience in production environments.
  • Ability to own issues independently without hand-offs.

The associate must have at least 8+ years of experience with L3/L4 skills in Linux virtualization and VMware administration.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Own Sev-1 to Sev-4 escalations end to end (triage → RCA → resolution).
  • Perform deep troubleshooting across Linux OS, KVM/hypervisor, networking, storage, and application layers.
  • Analyze logs, traces, dumps, and telemetry to identify root cause.
  • Work on complex product issues and propose workarounds and long-term fixes.
  • Engage with engineering teams using high-quality escalation details.
  • Participate in customer escalation calls and war rooms as required.

 

Mandatory Skills (Must-Have)

Experience Profile

  • Prior experience in L3/L4 product support, escalation, or sustaining engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting Linux-based platforms or software products (not just infrastructure).

 

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Java-based platforms, middleware, and databases.
  • Cutting edge technologies (Dockers, Kubernetes, python etc)
  • Scripting/automation experience (Shell, Python).

 

Not a Fit If

  • Profile is primarily VMware GUI-based administration.
  • Seeking training, shadow, or transition roles.

2. Skill upgradation and competency building

  • Clear wipro exams and internal certifications from time to time to upgrade the skills
  • Attend trainings, seminars to sharpen the knowledge in functional/ technical domain
  • Write papers, articles, case studies and publish them on the intranet
