Senior Solution Architect

 
Location: Washington, USA
 

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design, evaluate, and deliver scalable, secure, resilient enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role combines deep software engineering and solution architecture expertise with technology evaluation, proof-of-concept development, cloud transformation, API engineering, DevOps, and production reliability. The architect will work across technical and business teams to translate complex requirements into production-ready cloud solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating emerging technologies and conducting technical market assessments.
  • Proven track record of delivering proof-of-concepts and scaling them into production environments.
  • Experience leading enterprise architecture and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in complex enterprise organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong grasp of production engineering concepts, including error handling, retries, idempotency, observability, and fault tolerance.
  • Proficiency in building APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version-control workflows.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated cloud provisioning using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Knowledge of Azure security, governance, networking, monitoring, and cloud cost optimization practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure-native observability capabilities, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Experience designing highly available, secure, and resilient cloud-native or hybrid architectures.
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure architecture or DevOps certifications are a plus.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $173,800 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
