Role: Domain Leader for Cloud Infra:
Mandatory Requirement: Bilingual -Business English and Japanese- N2 and above.
JOB Details:
We are primarily looking for a Domain leader who will act as a SME and technical anchor, driving the strategy, design, deployment, migration and optimization of telco cloud infrastructure, ensuring they meet the stringent performance, latency, and reliability requirements of telco CNF and VNF workloads. Candidate having prior exp. in technically managing end to end delivery of Telco cloud infra projects based on OpenStack and Kubernetes environments would be preferred.
Skills:
•
Deep expertise and experience in designing telco cloud infra based on OpenStack and Kubernetes. Experience with RedHat OpenStack and OpenShift would be an added advantage.
•
Deep knowledge of NFV/SDN architecture including virtualization and containerization for deployment of VNFs and CNFs with SR-IOV, DPDK, NUMA
•
Proficient in automation with Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible, Terraform
•
Expert in installing, upgrading, and integration of OpenStack and Kubernetes based cloud infra solutions
•
Proven experience working with major NEPs in Public/Private cloud platforms
•
Expert capability in troubleshooting /diagnosing issues across the entire stack (Hardware/Linux/OpenStack/Kubernetes/ VNF/CNF)
•
Desirable to have prior technical management experience in telco cloud infra projects
•
Should possess excellent communication skills, can manage end customer and all stakeholders.
EXP range
8+ years in telecom, with at least 2+ years in telco cloud infra design/integration with OpenStack, Kubernete for VNFs/CNFs
Public
Cloud Infra Domain lead- Technical Responsibilities
•
Lead the design of hybrid/private telco cloud infrastructure based on RedHat OpenStack and OpenShift for telco workloads
•
Design/create HLD / DND/LLD for the cloud infra as per Customer requirements.
•
Direct the integration of proprietary VNFs/CNFs onto Red Hat platforms, focusing on high-performance solutions and network optimization.
•
Lead automation efforts using Red Hat Ansible, Terraform and CI/CD tools to streamline the deployment, upgrades, and patching of RHOSP and OCP clusters.
•
Optimize cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshooting complex networking and storage issues to guarantee telco-grade SLAs.
•
Implement and enforce security best practices (RBAC, hardened images, network policies) within the cloud infra ecosystem to meet operator compliance standards.
Cloud Infra Domain lead- Project Responsibilities
•
Responsible for all Delivery KPIs – On-time and Quality KPIs, domain specific Project escalations received from the vendor.
•
Responsible for achieving 95% Utilisation (Billing) of the resources within the domain - Balances the resource demand across the regions – Japan, Taiwan, India
•
Proactively works with Vendor Stream Managers / BP Power BI and understands and plans the upcoming quarter demand
•
Identifies the Innovation/Automation Opportunities by working with the Wipro Domain Architects, plans and tracks the effort of Optimization efforts using GenAI Tools/Techniques.
•
Works with Program Leader for meeting the Remotization / Offshoring targets for the domain.
•
Creates & owns the competency development (CoDe) strategy for the domain.
•
Responsible for timely WPs allocations / Invoicing Approvals from Vendor Stream Managers/TDLs.
•
Drive weekly Governance with Vendor Stream Managers for tracking /achieving critical Customer Delivery milestones.
•
This is purely a customer facing role and calls for need-based travel to meet Vendor Leaders.
