Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Technical Lead with strong development and maintenance expertise in automation, tooling, enhancing monitoring integrations and automating health checks through scripting and custom applications. The role requires a bilingual professional who can effectively understand and translate Japanese ↔ English in technical and business contexts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development, enhancement and maintenance of automation and custom tooling solutions.
  • Design and implement automation for onboarding additional nodes and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate technical discussions between Japanese and English.
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices to junior engineers.
  • Provide support for Ansible-based automation and extend configurations to additional infrastructure nodes.
  • Integrate monitoring tools such as Zabbix for proactive performance tracking and alerting.
  • Design and develop automated health check scripts for infrastructure and applications.
  • Write and manage shell scripts using utilities like jq for JSON parsing and data processing.
  • Participate in tool upgrades, performance tuning and issue debugging.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Programming & Development: Python/Bash, Java, NodeJS
  • Automation & Tooling: Ansible, Docker, custom tooling solutions
  • Prometheus, Fluentd, Pub-Sub (Kafka OR RabbitMQ)
  • Databases: RDBMS, NoSQL, etc.
  • Application Development: Experience in building and maintaining custom apps for tools support
  • Bilingual Capability: Proficient in Japanese ↔ English translation (technical and business)
  • Scripting: Strong hands-on in Shell scripting, including usage of tools like jq for JSON data parsing.
  • Linux/Unix Administration: Comfortable working on Linux systems, understanding of services, logs, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management practices.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in telecom or large-scale IT infrastructure projects
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
