Job Description

Job Title – Zabbix Engineer

Total years of experience- 6 years to 10 years

Location- Pune

 Responsibilities:

 Monitoring Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain Zabbix monitoring.

 Integration: Develop integrations with other tools.

 Template Management: Update and maintain monitoring templates.

 Documentation: Create technical documentation.

 Support: Provide technical support for Zabbix issues.

  

Technical Responsibilities:

Metric Collection: Configure Zabbix for various data sources, including:

OS Monitoring: Monitor system performance metrics such as CPU, memory, disk usage, and processes for various operating systems such as AIX, Linux, Windows etc

Database Monitoring: Track database performance metrics, including query performance, connection counts, and storage usage for databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, DB2 etc

 Network Monitoring: Monitor network devices, bandwidth usage, and network health.

 Storage Monitoring: Keep track of storage devices, usage, and performance metrics.

 Alerting: Set up alerts via email, SMS, and other platforms like Service Now

Visualization: Create dashboards and graphs using Zabbix

Security: Ensure secure communication and manage permissions.

Scalability: Use Zabbix proxies for distributed monitoring.

IAC: Automate deployments with Terraform and Ansible.

CI/CD: Integrate with GitLab or similar tools.

 Should have worked on below integrations / monitoring using zabbix including,

SNMP traps (ARIA Operations, Solarwinds, Guardium, Meraki, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Mainview middleware manager, Safenets etc)

 Middleware (WAS, IIS, MQ)

 URL Monitoring

 Train the super users (Admins)

 Any other technical configuration / implementation related query / support required by project team.

Has worked on Devops environment.

Mandatory Skills: Dynatrace AIOPS .
