Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Delivery & DevOps Leader to drive the delivery, modernization, reliability, and governance of enterprise applications within the Insurance, Reinsurance, or Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, cloud transformation experience, and stakeholder management skills to lead high-performing teams and deliver business-critical platforms.

The role requires ownership of application delivery, DevOps transformation, cloud strategy, architecture governance, and alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, vendors, and executive leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.

Architecture & Governance

  • Enterprise Architecture principles and governance
  • Application landscape design and modernization
  • Technology roadmap planning
  • Architecture review and solution governance

Domain Expertise

  • Insurance, Reinsurance, Financial Services, or related regulated industries
  • Understanding of underwriting, pricing, actuarial systems, or business-critical financial platforms
  • Experience working in regulated environments, audits, and compliance processes

Leadership & Delivery

  • 12+ years of experience in Application Delivery, Engineering Leadership, or DevOps Leadership
  • Experience managing global onshore and offshore teams
  • Strong stakeholder management with business and technology leaders
  • Vendor and procurement management experience
  • Release and delivery management for enterprise applications

Cloud & DevOps

  • Microsoft Azure administration, migration, and cloud modernization
  • Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation
  • DevSecOps practices including security integration into delivery pipelines
  • Infrastructure Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Application monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace)
  • Cloud cost optimization and governance

Software Engineering

  • Strong experience with:
    • .NET / C#
    • SQL Server
    • REST APIs
    • Distributed enterprise systems
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) expertise

Good-to-Have Skills

  • GitHub Copilot and Enterprise AI adoption programs
  • AI governance, security, and compliance frameworks
  • TOGAF certification
  • ITIL certification
  • ServiceNow integration and ITSM processes
  • BizzDesign, ArchiMate, or other Enterprise Architecture tools
  • Agile/Scrum leadership experience
  • Disaster Recovery planning (RTO/RPO)
  • Experience with catastrophe modelling platforms, actuarial systems, or exposure management solutions
  • Experience driving cloud transformation programmes

Application Delivery Leadership

  • Own end-to-end delivery for business-critical enterprise applications.
  • Ensure delivery quality, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
  • Drive application modernization initiatives and continuous improvement.

DevOps & Platform Engineering

  • Lead DevOps transformation programmes.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
  • Improve deployment automation, release management, and engineering productivity.
  • Define platform observability and operational monitoring standards.

Cloud Strategy & Optimization

  • Lead Azure cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
  • Drive cost optimization through governance and operational best practices.
  • Promote cloud-native architecture patterns and operational excellence.

Architecture & Technology Governance

  • Define technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
  • Participate in architecture governance and review processes.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and security requirements.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand priorities and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and external service providers.

Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery, support, and operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Azure Certifications
  • TOGAF Certified
  • ITIL Certified

A technology leader with deep expertise in Application Delivery, DevOps, Cloud Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, and Insurance Domain Platforms, capable of leading large-scale modernization initiatives while effectively managing business stakeholders, engineering teams, and strategic technology roadmaps.
