PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in data security & Protection,

The core responsibilities of this PostgreSQL Security DBA include:

1. Network & Connection Security

  • Disable "Trust" Authentication, Enforce TLS/SSL In-Transit, Restrict listen_addresses, Upgrade Authentication Protocols.

2. Authorization & Least Privilege

  • Restrict Superuser Access, Leverage Default Roles, Revoke PUBLIC Schema Defaults, Implement Row-Level Security (RLS)

3. Auditing & Threat Detection

  • Deploy pgAudit, Monitor Authentication Failures, Secure Code Execution

4. Encryption at Rest

  • Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Application Crypto: Utilize the pgcrypto extension for highly sensitive
