Role Purpose and Overview

The Production Agent L1 plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and quality of geographic information systems (GIS) data through precise execution of routine data entry, tagging, and labeling tasks. This position involves working with visual and geographic datasets to update and correct map data according to strict operational procedures and examples provided. The role is highly structured, focusing on compliance with detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and leaves independent decision-making to supervisory personnel.

As a foundational individual contributor within Wipro's BPS Geo Spatial Information Services, this role supports large-scale digital mapping projects by ensuring data consistency and integrity. The position requires diligent adherence to prescribed formats, tools, and instructions, and includes routine reporting and escalation of exceptions to designated quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately capture, tag, label, and update geographic and imagery data points strictly per SOPs, tool instructions, and prescribed examples to ensure the highest data quality.
• Apply corrections only when predefined in work instructions; prevent autonomous identification or correction of errors.
• Update and maintain data records in designated mapping tools and databases under supervisor guidance.
• Perform checklist-based validations of completed mapping tasks conforming to defined standards without exercising independent judgment.
• Operate approved software and tools strictly for tagging, labeling, tracing, and status updates, ensuring compliance with security and quality guidelines.
• Strictly follow predefined rules and decision trees to associate data with mapped locations, maintaining consistency and accuracy.
• Document task statuses, volumes completed, quality deviations, and escalate unclear, inconsistent, or exceptional cases promptly to supervisors or quality teams.
• Incorporate timely feedback from quality reviewers and team leads to rework assignments as needed.
• Work exclusively as an individual contributor without GIS data interpretation, design responsibilities, or client engagement.
• Adhere to daily work allocations and all defined SOPs, demonstrating reliability and discipline in task execution.
